Agnetha Faltskog – Where is she today ?
It has been more than 30 years since Abba attained meteoric success. Circa 2012, the hottest ABBA band member Agnetha Faltskog is read to make a comeback. In 2013, she will release her solo album as a part of her comeback.
On October 4 2012, Agnetha’s business manager Stefan Linde confirmed in the Swedish press that Agnetha has recorded a new album of original material to be released by Universal Music. The producer is Jörgen Elofsson, who has worked with artistes like Britney Spears,Westlife and Kelly Clarkson.
Agnetha Franklin is now 62, she was just 17 when she married fellow band member Bjorn Ulvaeus. The legendary pop group was a picture of solidarity and companionship with the brunette Anna-Frid Lyngstad and Benny Anderssen, who were also about to marry at that time.
Agnetha was ABBA’s sex symbol with that fabulous butt, tight trousers, a beautiful voice, and sexy boots and of course, the golden hair. By the time ABBA broke up in 1982, it had become the largest export of Sweden, selling more than 350 million albums worldwide. Though their music was a huge success and Agnetha was the toast of times, she was not exactly happy. She broke up with Bjorn and her second marriage was also a failure.
Agnetha also had a series of fights with her costars, manager and eventually had to take psychiatric help for various phobias. She then started retreating into her own shell and led a very private life. In fact, she was the only member of ABBA who remained absent from the premiere of Mamma Mia ! in London’s West End, an event that was graced by the Queen.
Agnetha Faltskog, who lives on a tiny island just outside Stockholm, has also had to do with the attentions of a Dutch stalker. Nevertheless, she had resumed working on a new music album three years ago, where her sound engineer and friend Michael Tretow suffered a stroke. She has begun to work on the project again and is planning to release the album by 2013. Her friends and co-band members Bjorn and Benny continue to work in various musical projects, while Frida recorded an album in 1996.
